CANONICAL marks a normative system rule; DERIVED a mathematical result; ESTABLISHED externally established science; MODEL a construction; HYPOTHESIS an unproven testable proposition; OPEN_QUESTION an unresolved question; INTERPRETATION a non-normative reading.
Published scientific or normative documentation must state epistemic status, version, effective date, normative/informative character, and sources when dependent on external knowledge.
